Found in the family recipe notebook with Susan's name written at the top, these soft sugar cookies were always a holiday staple. The sour cream makes them impossibly tender — they practically melt.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour (or more)
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Fold in sour cream.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F until golden on edges.
