Found scrawled on a card tucked inside the family recipe notebook, these hot BBQ wings are a set-it-and-forget-it kind of meal. The crock pot does all the work, and the honey and Tabasco give them just the right sweet heat.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 1½ cups BBQ sauce (Bull's Eye brand recommended)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- A little Tabasco (to taste)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco. Stir until well mixed.
- Toss the chicken wings in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Transfer everything to a crock pot.
- Cook on low for 5½ hours, until the wings are tender and the sauce is thick and sticky.
- Alternatively, you can skip the crock pot and bake them directly in the oven at 350°F, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
